Airdrop

All about the ETC hard fork – Callisto ($CLO) and airdrop

Callisto is a new Ethereum-based blockchain developed by the Ethereum Commonwealth team – one of Ethereum Classic’s dev teams. They have previously brought us ERC223[1] token standard, ClassicEtherWallet – a wallet for Ethereum Classic tokens, DexNS – a DNS service for Ethereum Classic, among other projects.

For more details about the project I recommend reading this article:

When will the hard fork happen?

You can check https://gastracker.io/ for the current block height.  According to calculations, the ETC hardfork will occur on 4th or 5th of March 2018.(When writing this article the block height was 5491942, so hurry up!)

Ethereum Classic (ETC) holders will receive coins from a ‘snapshot’ fork called Callisto (CLO). The clone will be an exact copy of the ETC chain up until block 5,500,000. ETC holders will receive a 1:1 ratio of CLO coins. YES!

What wallets and exchanges will support the hard fork?

This wallets will guaranteed work:

What if I have my ETC balance on an exchange?

Each exchange has an account (or multiple accounts) where it stores its ETC. Technically this account will receive CLO at the time of airdrop in the same way as any other account. It depends on the exchange, whether it decides to give you CLO or dispose of them in a different way. We will contact the exchanges and publish a list of exchanges that will decide to distribute the CLO to their users here: https://github.com/EthereumCommonwealth/Roadmap/issues/424.6k
