An abnormal transaction occurred on the Ethereum blockchain. Only 0.1 ETH were moved for a whopping $307,000 or 2100 ETH. The transaction was caught by Chinse blockchain analytical firm Cheetah Blockchain, reports Rating Token.
The transaction occurred on Feb 19, 2019, at 1:19 AM UTC. The block height during the time of the transaction was 7,238,290. According to Cheetah Blockchain, the block was packaged by the mining pool Sparkpool.
The preliminary analysis by Cheetah blockchain infers that the user incorrectly set the Gas Price to 0.1 ETH, instead the general unit (general unit is Gwei), which bought the total transaction fee up to 2100 ETH.
The transaction is still being verified. Rating Token also found abnormal transaction fees in the 7993694, 7999416, 7987126 and 7998568 blocks, and we will conduct an in-depth analysis of the incident.
