Cloud mining giant and major news provider, Bitcoin.com, is currently facing a downtime. According to Executive Chairman Roger Ver, the downtime is due to a hardware failure at their data center. The affected services of Bitcoin.com are mining pool, news, and games.
The downtime was first reported to Blockmanity, at 12 noon IST. Reddit user, /u/Scheroxx, took to Reddit’s r/Btc subreddit to ask about why Bitcoin.com wasn’t working. To which Roger Ver replied,
Since the most effected service, is the bitcoin.com mining pool, Roger Ver emphasized that mining pool funds are safe. Moreover, the cloud miners are still working so people will get their daily rewards. The fund’s withdrawal will be delayed by up to 3 hrs after the return of the servers.
According to Roger Ver, everything will be back up shortly.
