The Litecoin Foundation will be the official sponsor for the UFC 232 event on December 29th. Litecoin’s logo will be on the canvas of the octagon as the “Official Cryptocurrency Sponsor” at the title match for the UFC light heavyweight division between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson.

The event is set to happen on December 29th at the Inglewood stadium, California which can house up to 80,000 people. The event will likely get millions of views as it is featuring some of the famous athletes in UFC such as Jon Jones, Alexander Gustafsson, Amanda Nunes, and Cris “Cyborg” Justino among others.
In an announcement, the Litecoin foundation mentions that it has plans for more of such collaborations going forward in 2019.
Litecoin is the first Cryptocurrency to be featured in any of the UFC events. Similar to Litecoin even the UFC is a community-driven event which has grown to be a global phenomenon worth Billions of Dollars in the past 25 years.
Charlie had previously told in an interview that 2019 would be the year to focus on mass adoption. This sponsorship marks the start of it. The Litecoin foundation also mentions in the post that they hope to create a long and fruitful relationship with the UFC.
“We view this sponsorship as the first step to what will hopefully be a long and fruitful relationship with UFC. We look forward to the possibility of doing some amazing things with this incredible organization.”
The Litecoin Foundation had acquired a 9.99% stake in a German bank from TokeyPay in a partnership agreement. The Charlie led foundation also opened a bank account in the US.
