Decentralized payment based cryptocurrency, Metahash, announced the launch of the MetaGather program. The program gives users 1000 Metahash coins which can be used to forge the Metahash network.
According to a blog post by Metahash, the goal of the MetaGather program is to expand the community, increase the number of individual forgers and reduce ROI of farms. The granted coins can only be used for Forging and are locked for selling. But the coins earned through forging could be spent. Moreover, users can earn additional tokens by participating in referrals and promotional activities.
Forging is the consensus protocol of Metahash’s network. Forging works similar to Proof of Stake. Users can put their Metahash tokens for forging which in turn earn more Metahash tokens.
The program is planned to be launched this month and will be promoted extensively in the community. The program hopes to strengthen the Metahash network.
Metahash has a market cap of $29 million and is currently trading at $0.023. The cryptocurrency is listed in various exchanges. CEX.io and KuCoin are the biggest exchange where users can trade Metahash. Metahash has its own wallet called the MetaGate.
