Slant Launches GDPR Compliant Privacy Solution for Dapps on the EOS Blockchain

Slant started operations in January 2018 to make a system that helps to privatize data computations and data marketplaces in a distributed environment. A team of technology entrepreneurs including Michael Breidenbrucker, Marcel Vaschauner, Angelo Laub, Fabian Frank coordinated by Tassia Breidenbrucker. Michael Breidenbrucker is a famous personality; he is the founder of Lastfm, RjDj and has collaborated with a venture firm Speedinvestas well as with Slant. He carries an experience of working with great artists such as Hans Zimmer, Imogen Heap, Air, and Booka Shade. He developed an App named Inception in the year 2011 in coordination with multiple award-winning film director Christopher Nolan and composer Hans Zimmer. The App ranked at fifth position in the US App store chart.

According to the press release, Slant has launched a GDPR compliant privacy solution for decentralized applications called dAppson the EOS blockchain. The new technology allows companies and individual to privatize and own their data stored on decentralized systems. Slant introduces dApps with a simple API which enable users to store private data and the right to accept and decline the request to access the stored information on the blockchain. Before this, many companies like insurance companies had the power to utilize such data for their benefits. Insurance companies with the help of extensive data mining take out the information to determine whether a person is a risky driver or an unusual health risk.

In 21st century data has great importance and can be sold to make money and used to sell product and services. The sad part is that such data was accessed without the permission of the owner neither he/she receives any monetary benefit on the utilization of their data. Data can also be misused if goes in wrong hand.

Slant’s data privacy solution has filled the loophole in accessing dApps on the blockchain. Now users can control the utilization of their personal information ordinarily used to make “Siren Servers” like Google. The technology attracts and allow users to adopt decentralized technology and offers them a choice to monetize their stored data. Some benefits of Slant’s system are:

  • Owners have full right to sell their data to advertiser or companies
The owner can permit or decline the request to access data on the decentralized platform
  • Owners can monetize their data to receive profits
  • It enables you to issue smart contracts to release encrypted information

The most impressive part is no one can access or hack your data without your permission as Slant data privacy system store your data in multiple nodes. The innovation has kicked out the middle man and provided transparency in data handling.
