Tapatalk Collaborates with EOS Blockchain to enable Micropayments to 300 Million Users
The mobile forum App Tapatalk has announced a collaboration with EOS Blockchain to enable its gold point reward system.
Tapatalk is a mobile application that allows access to over 200,000 online forums across 186 countries, it is said to connect over 300 Million users including forums on Twitter and Reddit.
The company first launched its gold point reward system in 2017 to support the forum administrators and moderators, now it is introducing Blockchain based micropayments for better user experience and transparency. According to Market Watch:
“Tapatalk is now introducing the blockchain-enabled Gold Point Wallet, built on the EOS platform. Blockchain integration will enable Gold Points rewards by making micro-payments more feasible for end users and eliminating transaction fees from external payment processors”
The integration of EOS Blockchain will allow the company to increase transparency and foster higher traffic and more robust marketplaces. The company claims that the administrators will be able to monetize their traffic “while also earning additional Gold Point bonuses every time users top up their Wallets.”
Winter Wong, CEO of Tapatalk said:
“Blockchain integration is the natural next step for Tapatalk as we see many exciting ways this technology will deliver valuable monetization and reward opportunities for forum communities, We are proud to support forum owners in growing prosperous microeconomies in a trusted environment.”
This is a major step for the EOS ecosystem as it is being utilized for mainstream applications with millions of users. True adoption of Blockchain technology will happen when the end users don’t even know that they are using the technology but are reaping the benefits of it.
