Users Can Now Send XRP With Simple Voice Commands on SIRI

An IoS application by an independent developer called xRpTo_Ow allows users to send XRP with simple voice commands.

The application connects to XRPTipBot which is a bot that allows the sending of XRP with simple commands.  It is ideal for those who are driving or are unable to text commands to send XRP. It can be downloaded from iCloud.

As of now, users can only send XRP tips according to the demo video. However, xRpTo_O has ensured that there will be loads of features added. The application connects IoS’s voice application which is Siri and XRP TipBot.

The application interprets the amount and user to send the XRP to through Siri’s voice recognition software. The application then scans the QR code automatically of the user or by checking contacts, and then the said amount of XRP is sent. It follows with a confirmation or cancellation depending on the final voice command.


XRP has already proved to be a favorite amongst the Crypto community with it’s fast transaction time and it’s additions in plenty of platforms. Wirex which is a platform that boasts of 1.8 million users storing or trading Crypto had conducted a survey via Twitter in mid-October asking which cryptocurrency is preferred. Over 80% had voted for XRP, while only 10% surprisingly voted for Bitcoin which is the number one Cryptocurrency in terms of Market capitalization.

XRP’s community is one of the most active especially in Crypto Twitter better known as CT. With the new application, XRP has down one better by encouraging Cryptocurrencies to utilize voice applications. It could help further encourage individuals to adopt Cryptocurrency. Voice-based virtual assistants such as Amazon Alexa could help Cryptocurrency tremendously if Cryptocurrency transfers and other services could be activated on these type of devices.
