The Schiphol airport of Amsterdam, Netherlands is launching Bitcoin and Ether ATM’s to avail travelers to buy the Cryptocurrency for Euros.

Schiphol is the third busiest airport in Europe which is located near Amsterdam, in a recent announcement it is mentioned that ATMs will be installed in the airport where travelers can buy Bitcoin and Ether for Euros.

This will be a trial project for six months to see if it meets the demand of the travelers and is the first of its kind in Europe. Brisbane airport was the first to adapt Cryptocurrencies in their terminals.

Tanja Dik, Director at Amsterdam airport said:

chiphol is continually working on innovations and offering optimum service for passengers, With the Bitcoin machine we hope to serve travelers because they can easily exchange ‘local’ euros for the ‘global’ Bitcoin or Ethereum . This can be useful, because they can no longer make use of Euros in their home country, for example.

This is a joint venture between the Schiphol airport and the Dutch company ByeleX Data Solutions.
