The conference will be taking place in Ripple’s hometown of San Francisco on October 1st. The moderator for the event will be Gene Sperling who was the National Economic Council Director and Advisor for both the Clinton and Obama administration.
In their blog post Ripple mentions that Clinton “established programs that bridged the “digital divide” and brought new technology to underserved communities around the world.” and the value that Blockchain technology is similar to that of the internet boom back in the 90’s.

Ripple also announced that in a partnership with pop star Madonna, they will be raising funds for underprivileged and orphaned kids in the African country Malawi. Over $27000 have already been raised through Madonna’s Facebook page. The fund aims to raise $60000.
