Binance Takes Part in Malta’s First Blockchain Conference, Tron Donates to Binance Charity Fund

Binance, arguably the worlds largest exchange based out of Malta participated in the Delta Conference held on Oct 3-5 this month. The exchange giant was one of the major exhibitors in the event where more than 4000 Blockchain industry leaders participated.

Binance has been an industry leader in the space with a rapid in just a year, initially based out of China the company decided to move to Malta after facing restrictions from the Chinese government.

The Maltese government has embraced Cryptocurrencies with favorable regulations, branding itself as a Blockchain island, encouragement for Crypto companies to operate from there and loose KYC/AML requirements.

The Prime minister of Malta Joseph Muscat addressed the United Nations recently and talked about the importance of Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrency. He called Cryptocurrencies as the “Future of money” and “Inevitable”

Delta Summit recognized as Malta’s the first official Blockchain conference was aimed “to generate and promote a global cryptocurrency discussion” and and “highlight the government’s efforts to establish Malta as a pioneering and blockchain embracing country.”

Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance said:

 “This is a country where the leaders and the government understand blockchain technology.

The vision of Binance is to increase financial freedom around the world with Cryptocurrencies, to align with this vision the exchange has started Binance Charity Foundation which recently partnered with the United Nations to use Blockchain Technology to aid Economic development.

Helen Hai who is heading Binance Charity Foundation said:

“When you talk about blockchain for social good, it’s not only a technical issue; it’s actually about how to work with the traditional world. For that, leadership is very important,”

A recent press release suggests that Tron, which is a Blockchain based protocol pledged a significant amount of funds to BCF to help achieve its goals. Binance and BCF will summon at the next conference Blockchains for Sustainable Development Forum to be held at Geneva on October 24th.

Some other Crypto companies which took part in Delta summit were Crypto.com, Bitcoin.com, OKex, abcc and many others.
