Celebrity endorsements of Bitcoins are back, and this time initiated by motivational speaker Tony Robbins. Tony Robbins explains to his followers on what Bitcoin is through an article on his website.
Although the article was written on Tony Robbin’s website during the Cryptocurrency bull run last year, it is being shared now. According to Tony,
“Trying to explain bitcoin is like trying to explain the Internet to someone in the 80s.
Bitcoin is a decentralized currency. No single bank, government, company or individual owns the network or has control over it. This means that your accounts can never be frozen, a government cannot devalue the currency, it can be used in every country, and, more ominously, because of the anonymous nature of bitcoin, the technically savvy can avoid taxation and use bitcoin as payment for any kind of illegal good or service.”
The tweet went viral among the cryptocurrency community with Anthony Pompilano even inviting Tony to be a guest in his “off the chain” podcast.
Famous psychology professor Jordan Peterson praises Bitcoin and shares Time’s article on “Why Bitcoin matters” to teach his followers about Bitcoin.
Jordan Peterson and Dave Rubin have decided to abandon Patreon due to political censorship by Patreon and shift to Bitcoin. Professor Peterson has also announced that they are working on a platform similar to Patreon but without any political censorship. People in the cryptocurrency community speculate he will be using Bitcoins as the base for the platform.
