Content Creators Can Now Accept Ripple (XRP) As Online Payments on Youtube, Twitch and Wikipedia

Online content creators will now be able to accept payments in ripple (XRP) tokens directly from their users. This has been made possible because of Stefan Thomas’s brainchild Coil. Stefan Thomas is the former CTO of Ripple Labs. The company has come up with the beta version of its browser extension app with the same name that allows content creators to get tip directly via XRP tokens from their users.

As per Stefan Thomas’s words,

For decades, people have discussed the potential of micropayments to support content creators that would move us away from the broken ad-supported web. Others have created subscription services that bundle content. But micropayments and subscriptions have always been built as closed systems, which fail to capture the huge variety of content on the web.

Coil, being the first one to enable audiences to pay websites via web monetization, will now be compatible with some of the biggest pioneers of the web industry namely YouTube, Twitch, Wikipedia, Beat, Internet Archive etc.

The crypto industry is growing a lot every day bringing some new innovations and features for every sector. Undoubtedly, this is just the beginning as Coil is planning to do a lot more with this feature of theirs.
