Cryptocurrency battle with Lawmakers in India

We all know that Cryptocurrency regulations in India are still under question. During a budget speech in February, India’s Finance Minister, Mr. Arun Jaitley stated that the “government didn’t recognize cryptocurrency as legal tender.” That announcement was wrongly deciphered that the cryptocurrency is illegal in India.

In August, India announced that the cryptocurrency regulations likely to be introduced by the end of this year, i.e. in December.

And now, after a months of debate, government panel which was headed by Secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Subhash Chandra Garg; has submitted the final report to Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley. According to the sources, the panel has suggested that all cryptocurrency should be banned and any type of crypto dealing should be treated as illegal.

Well, this news has not been confirmed by any government official. Only the time will tell, what will be the future of cryptocurrency in India.
