The Litecoin subreddit has surpassed 200k subscribers to become one of the largest Cryptocurrency based communities on the popular social media website Reddit.
The Litecoin subreddit is one of the oldest Crypto Reddit communities, it was started back in 2012 and saw massive growth during the 2017 bull run. According to the data from subredditstats.com, r/litecoin is the 942 largest subreddit with an average of 8 posts and 111 comments every day.
r/litecoin had massive growth in subscriber count during the 2017 mania, the subreddit had around 190k subscribers in February 2018 increasing threefold from 62k subscribers in October 2017. The growth in the subreddit has been stagnant since then until recently where it crossed 200k subscribers for the first time.

r/litecoin is the 6th largest Crypto based Reddit community, r/bitcoin is by far the largest subreddit with over a million subscribers followed by r/cryptocurrency (856k), r/ethereum (432k), r/btc (246k) and r/ethtrader (207k).
A Redditor named u/RudeTurnip said:
“This is one of the more reasonable and mentally healthy crypto subs, and I am very happy for its growing base of subscribers.
Litecoin also has another dedicated subreddit r/LitecoinMarkets where the enthusiasts discuss “long-term and short-term” trading of Litecoins. The subreddit currently has over 37.6k subscribers.
Reddit and Twitter are the main platforms where most of the Crypto related discussions/debates happen, Reddit, in particular, is used to share news articles, informational content, memes, etc. The Reddit subscriber count directly reflects the strength of any Crypto community.
