Opera plans to integrate Ethereum Wallet on iOS very soon

Last year in September, Opera Browser launched a crypto wallet for desktop users. Using this wallet, users could interact with Ethereum decentralized apps (Dapps) and operate crypto funds on the Ethereum blockchain for the first time in Opera. Later, the crypto wallet was introduced for Android users in December 2018, and now iOS users will be able to use it soon.

In a recent announcement, the software maker Opera conveyed that the crypto wallet integration will be rolled out for iOS soon. It has already started taking registrations for early access. According to Opera, “the full-featured Opera Touch that incorporates crypto wallet and Web 3 functionalities are being rolled out for iOS users. It will blend crypto wallet functionality with support for Ethereum decentralized apps, or Dapps.”

Thanks to the popular demand from the Ethereum community, the seamless Web 3 browsing experience will now be introduced on iOS. The global user base of iOS devices will soon gain access to an Opera Touch that will link native Crypto Wallet and Web 3 browsing functionalities. With the incorporation of crypto wallet, one can enter the world of Cryptocurrencies directly through the Opera Touch browser with direct access to Ethereum (ERC20) and non-fungible tokens.

Apart from supporting the Ethereum Web3 API, the crypto wallet on the Android app also includes ‘Collectibles’ – a dedicated section for all your digital collectibles such as game items, art, or badges. This feature would also be available for iOS apps.

The winner of the Red Dot Design Award for its user interface focused around ease of use on phones with large displays, Opera Touch is an innovative web browser that comes with a set of useful features including the “My Flow” function which lets you share websites and notes with yourself across multiple devices.
