Ethereum Creator Vitalik Buterin: “Would lose a certain amount of hope for humanity if Tron overtook Ethereum”
Creator of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, in an interview conducted by Laura Shin (host of Unchained podcast) opened up on Ethereum and its competitors.
Laura Shin opened up with the question everyone in the cryptocurrency community has it in back of their mind, “Is Ethereum losing its lead?”. To that Vitalik agreed, after initially denying it, that Ethereum to some extent is losing its lead. According to Vitalik, that is because its an early project.
When asked about whether he would be upset if another blockchain took Ethereum’s place, Vitalik replied,
“It depends which blockchain, relations are friendly between Ethereum and Zcash, and we’re even warming with Ethereum Classic. But if Tron overtakes Ethereum, I will have lost a certain amount of hope for humanity.”
It’s no secret, the second biggest cold war in the blockchain space is between Ethereum and Tron. Tron is a blatant copy of Ethereum, but with fast updates some cryptocurrency enthusiasts believe, Tron, to be much better than Ethereum.
Tron’s founder, Justin Sun, has repeatedly attacked Vitalik Buterin, prompting Vitalik Buterin to ask him on why Justin Sun is so obsessed with him?
The duo clashed in the recent Token 2049 conference where Justin tried to mock Vitalik by joining the event with a giant human avocado. The funny act was in response to Vitalik’s tweets over Bittorent and his avocado comparison.
