Belarus plans to use Nucleur energy for Bitcoin[BTC] mining, plans to be the successor of China

Ever since China announced the possible banning of Bitcoin mining, Belarus has been doing everything it can to replace China and become a Bitcoin mining hub. Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of Belarus, supports cryptocurrency and called it a new chapter in the country’s history, reports local media of Belarus.

In a recent meeting at Belarus’s High tech park at Minsk, President Aleksandr Lukashenko showed a keen interest in fintech revolution and digital currencies. Lukashenko stated that Belarus would permit cryptocurrency mining farms to set up shop in the country.

Trusting entrepreneurs from Belarus to the fullest, President Aleksandr Lukashenko said,

“You are my children. I’ve created you with my own hands as well as I could. You wanted cryptocurrency, crypto exchanges, crypto mining, and the rest. You wanted to set up the farms… Now you are grown up and can suggest where we move on from here.”

According to Belarus president’s plan, new and upcoming mining farms would be set up at close proximity to the country’s nuclear plant. The plant is still under construction and would be fully operational by the end of 2019.

Bitcoin mining publication, Miner Update, reports that the President had affirmed a section within the nuclear facility will allow for the mining of cryptocurrencies, which could indicate that nuclear energy will be harnessed for the production of Bitcoin
