Charlie Lee: Litecoin [LTC] hasn’t achieved its final objective yet & should have remained anonymous
Charlie Lee, the founder, and creator of Litecoin, recently appeared on the latest Unchained podcast with Laura Shin. From talking about when he bought Bitcoin to Litecoin’s original mission, Charlie Lee revealed some interesting stuff.
According to Charlie Lee, Litecoin’s and even Bitcoin’s mission is to be able to spend them anywhere. But he says it’s far from over, no matter how successful Litecoin has become.
“The general idea is just to have more and more places that you can spend Bitcoin and Litecoin. For it to be truly successful you have to be able to spend it anywhere.”
He also added that he should have preferred staying anonymous like the Bitcoin’s creator Satoshi Nakamoto.
“Being a prominent figure in the community has affected my privacy and also raised concerns over my security.”
Charlie Lee revealed that he bought his first Bitcoin at $30 and the price of Bitcoin immediately crashed afterward to $2. But despite the crash, Charlie Lee was convinced that Bitcoin is the future of payment.
