Dogecoin [DOGE] has the third most number of active address, higher than Litecoin, Tron and Monero

Internet’s favorite cryptocurrency, Dogecoin, has the third most number of active address. The observation was posted by blockchain analytical firm Longhash. The only 2 cryptocurrencies above Dogecoin are Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Longhash used the data from Messari OnChainX to get the latest results of the active addresses. Dogecoin currently has more than 73,000 active address while Ethereum on the second number has a little over 224,000 active address. On the top is Bitcoin with 617,000 active address.
What makes Dogecoin [DOGE] really popular?
Dogecoin was started as a joke but these days it’s considered as one of the most successful cryptocurrency projects. Three things which make Dogecoin really active and popular with the community are,
Firstly, the fun-loving community. Dogecoin’s community is the happiest community. There have been no community tensions and the community rarely cares about the price. For Dogecoin’s community, internet adoption the key.
Secondly, a committed development team. Dogecoin’s core developers have ensured active development of the project. Where many cryptocurrency projects development is lacking, Dogecoin’s blockchain is thriving.
Thirdly, ease of mining. Dogecoin’s mining doesn’t require any specialized hardware. Moreover, Dogecoin can automatically be mined with Litecoin, giving the Dogecoin network a good amount decentralization.
