Tron [TRX] gets listed on KuCoin, Justin Sun Burns $670 Million ERC20 Tokens

Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, just announced that Tron [TRX] will now be listed on KuCoin. The news comes just before the much awaited Tron Virtual Machine (TVM), which is said to release at the end of this month. Tron will be traded in the following pair initially: TRX/BTC, TRX/ETH. The trading will go live from 28th August.

KuCoin is currently the 53rd largest exchange in the world in terms of daily trading volume. Currently, $17 Million worth of tokens is traded on KuCoin.

Price of Tron picks up just ahead of the Tron Virtual Machine launch. KuCoin listing should further increase the price, once deposits go live. Tron is currently trading at $0.025, a 10.08% increase in the past 24 hours.

Tron Virtual Machine (TVM)

TVM is a lightweight, Turing complete virtual machine developed by the Tron Foundation, which gives developers the ability to create and execute smart contracts on the Tron Blockchain. Tron Virtual Machine is similar to Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which means existing Ethereum developers can easily port their contracts on the Tron network.

One of the biggest differentiating factors of TVM from EVM is dropping the concept of Gas. Smart contract execution and transaction cost will be free on TVM. You can learn more about the TVM here. TVM is said to be released on 30th August 2018.

Tron Foundation burns $670 Million Worth ERC 20 Tokens

CEO of the Tron Foundation Justin Sun tweeted that the foundation has successfully burnt $670 Million ERC 20 tokens which is the fourth batch of tokens being burnt.

“670,045,551.1449388 #TRX ERC20 token were burnt by #TRON Foundation.”
