PureGold: The first crypto-currency to sponsor English Premier League
Football ( or soccer if you prefer the American term ), is the most popular sport worldwide. And one of the most watched sporting events in the world is the English Premier League (EPL). The event is so huge, that it attracts Billions of Euros ( 1.5 X Dollars ) every year in sponsorship. It was only a matter of time until some major Crypto-currency entered the sponsorship of EPL. And PureGold just became the first crypto-currency in the world to do so.
PureGold.io, which is a gold-backed crypto-currency, made for daily payments had a successful ICO which ended on 14th March 2018. The company will be sponsoring EPL in partnership with Jetcoin Institute, a blockchain powered sports and entertainment platform.
Although the ICO is over, PureGold tokens (PGG & PGT) can now be purchased from Coss Exchange, one of the biggest exchanges in Singapore. Due to its partnership with JetCoin, PureGold buyers will get extra 10% JetCoins until 8th April.
By sponsoring EPL, PureGold comes head to head with the big leagues such as Bitcoin & Ethereum.
