Vitalik Buterin: Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is not Bitcoin (BTC)
Ethereum founder and supporter of Bitcoin Cash, Vitalik Buterin, in a recent tweet said that the two coins aren’t the same.
After Twitter user, Brad Miller said Vitalik Buterin promotes a false narrative of “Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin”, Vitalik clarified with the statement “Bitcoin cash isn’t Bitcoin”.
Bitcoin cash is not bitcoin.

It is well known in the Bitcoin community that Vitalik Buterin has a soft spot for Bitcoin Cash, but this is not the first time Vitalik has made this clarification. Back in 2017, Vitalik Buterin tweeted that he considers “Bitcoin Cash as a legitimate contender for Bitcoin name, but Bitcoin Cash = Bitcoin is a bad idea”.
In 2017, the Bitcoin community split into 2 groups – Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash, after a disagreement within the community members as to which is the best way to scale. Bitcoin (BTC) core developers wanted an off-chain scaling, while Bitcoin Cash (BCH) supported an increase in block size to scale the chain.
