Estonia based cryptocurrency payment processor, Paytomat, has announced on Twitter that they would be adding Dogecoin [DOGE] in their list of supported currencies. The company also announced the recent addition of Tezos in their list.
Paytomat uses a decentralized voting mechanism to support the new tokens on the platform. Paytomat community members vote for the next token to be added. Dogecoin was the last month’s winner. This month although has 10 more days remaining, Steem token [STEEM] looks like it will be the winner. STEEM has 13,000 votes while XRP which is in the second number has around 4,000.
Paytomat currently supports 18 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin [BTC], Bitcoin Cash [BCH], Ethereum [ETH], Dash, Litecoin, ZCoin, NEM, EOS, Waves, etc. More than 80 merchants in 10 countries currently support Paytomat.
Dogecoin, on the other hand, has been gaining a lot of attention as a viable payment option for the internet. Due to its low fee as well as fast transaction confirmation, Dogecoin can be a new alternative to Bitcoin and Litecoin. The most awesome thing about Dogecoin, it is one of the few truly decentralized tokens as well.
