Bittrex Expands to South Africa by Partnering with VALR

South Africa based VALR just launched their digital asset trading platform in partnership with Bittrex. Users will have to register for early access.

The platform will have a “Simple Buy/Sell” feature that will allow users to trade over 50 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin and Ethereum. They will also use artificial intelligence and machine learning to fasten the user verification process. They will also enable more advanced crypto-to-crypto trading features in the future.

The partnership will hugely benefit VALR customers who will get access to all the digital assets on Bittrex. To this, VALR CEO Farzam Ehsani says:

“We are delighted to bring South Africans the largest crypto-offering the country has ever seen in collaboration with Bittrex, one of the most advanced, secure and compliant platforms worldwide. Our partnership gives our customers direct access to international liquidity, globally competitive prices and leading security practices. We look forward to advancing the crypto industry in South Africa and beyond.”

Bittrex also tweeted about the partnership.

The strategic partnership will combine Bittrex’s global leadership in the blockchain industry with the experience of the VALR in South Africa.

Blockmanity’s Take

Bittrex partnering with VALR is just a common practice that many other exchanges have also implemented. Strategic alliances are always useful for risk mitigation and opening up new markets. It’s a win-win for both parties.
