Investors sue Roger Ver for cheating them
If one types “buy Bitcoin” the first result is from Bitcoin.com, a popular website among newbies who are new to the world of cryptocurrencies. Last month, Bitcoin.com made a change on their website where they supported Bitcoin Cash by default rather than Bitcoin and branded Bitcoin Cash as Bitcoin.
Present Day, Roger Ver – the one-time influencer of Bitcoin, is being sued by a group of investors who were misled to buy Bitcoin Cash instead of Bitcoin on Bitcoin.com. The lawsuit is being led by a user with the Twitter handle @Moneytrigz. Bitcoin.com has made the look and feel similar to Bitcoin, but promotes Bitcoin Cash as “the real Bitcoin”, which misleads new users to buy Bitcoin Cash when they really just wanted to buy Bitcoin.
Roger Ver was once hailed as the “Bitcoin Jesus” as he was one of the earliest investor and promoter of Bitcoin. But he soon turned greedy, forked his Bitcoin into a new currency called “Bitcoin Cash” and started misleading users calling “Bitcoin Cash” as the real Bitcoin, while original Bitcoin is called as “Bitcoin Core” in Ver’s terminology.
