Is NASDAQ testing out actual Bitcoin [BTC] trading?
Twitter user Cryptopolis was in a shock when he found that he could purchase Bitcoin on NASDAQ through his TDAmeritrade account. The cryptocurrency was paired with USD. He immediately took to Twitter to tell the cryptocurrency community regarding the new discovery.

He called TDAmeritrade’s customer support to inquire more about the cryptocurrency offering. The customer support mentioned it was just NASDAQ testing their paper trading platform. After that, they refused to comment further.
TDAmeritrade currently provides only one cryptocurrency trading product – Bitcoin futures.
UPDATE: According to TDAmeritrade support – it's not a real trade in my account – it appears they are testing only using their Paper Trading platform. Support said "I'm not able to speak on it" -They did not know what CXERX is. Strange… But something is going on for sure! pic.twitter.com/gUxtHX0TNg

According to twitter, the customer support’s answer were rather cryptic. Even though, the community is divided on whether TDAmeritrade is launching Bitcoin trading or not. Twitter user Ben Galdanaut commented,
““Coudl be a forex symbol”…this dude knows he just isn’t allowed to talk. ‘Coudl’ is a smoke signal if I ever saw one”
Blockmanity’s Take
NASDAQ has been planning to enter cryptocurrency markets since last year. Bakkt, powered by ICE (parent company of NYSE), has also been saying they would enter the cryptocurrency space. But so far nothing has happened.
Until NASDAQ confirms that they are officially launching Bitcoin trading, it’s all just speculations.
