After Purchasing 400KG Of Food With Crypto, Venezuelan Launches “Adopt A Family” Movement
A Venezuelan Redditor is going to launch a movement to support others. Recently, he has decided to buy over 400 kg of food for his friends and family in the country. The country is facing one of the deepest economic recessions, so he decided to use the donations received in NANO.
CCN stated that the Venezuelan Crypto enthusiast received a 0.5 NANO donation, going by Windows 7733 on Reddit. This amount $1.16 for him is equivalent to his one month’s salary. Venezuelan thanked the users in the NANO subreddit after receiving the said donation. He received a lot more donation. Later on, he used 29.1 NANO donations, which is worth $67.2 to buy 100 kg of food. Again, it was revealed that he used 61 NANO and bought another 300 kg of food. In total, he used 90.1 NANO, about $208 and bought 400 kg of food.
He wrote,
Forty families were benefited from this donation and it’s amazing how they are reacting when they are told about cryptocurrencies, many of them, for my surprise already know what cryptocurrencies are but haven’t been able to have any for themselves, others were just skeptic or simply didn’t care about anything but the food until I talked to them about how this campaign is helping them.
The users also stated that several cryptocurrency communities had approached him to show support by sending over donations.
Further, Venezuelans decided to launch the ‘Adopt a Family’ movement. This movement will see NANO users donate to Venezuelans in order to help them and spread adoption in the country.
He also wrote,
I wish hundreds of families could benefit from this project increasing further in Venezuela NANO knowledge among the population and cryptocurrencies in general, this paves the way for more projects like-making investment directly in NANO and hiring Venezuela manpower to work for you guys, providing workers and parts economic freedom and well-being.
Meanwhile, the Venezuelan Government has decided to use the Petro to finance villas for the homeless.
