Just 2 weeks back, Tron (TRX) was marginally outpacing Ethereum (ETH) in daily transaction volume with close to 500,000 transactions. Now, that number has doubled with Tron reaching the one million mark.
With the Mainnet reaching 500,000 accounts last month and the partnership with Chinese Internet Giant Baidu, Tron has maintained its steady growth and built one of the most active communities in the crypto-space.
Jusin Sun in a tweet confirmed the milestone and also pledged to give away 5 thousand worth of TRX to 5 winners who could predict the date when Tron would hit 1 million transactions.

Tron’s success can be attributed to its acquisition of BitTorrent and the growth of betting dApps like TronDice and Tronbet which have already paid more than 200 million TRX to players. Despite Tron having twice as many transactions as Ethereum, it still remains behind in market cap.
