4Chan starts accepting Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
Popular and notoriously infamous imageboard, 4Chan, has quietly started accepting cryptocurrencies recently. Users can now pay in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) to avail the 4Chan Pass.
4Chan is an anonymous imageboard, where users can post on any topic. Some of the Internet’s most popular trends have been originated from 4Chan. 4Chan pass allows users to post on 4Chan without the Captcha verification, and also acts as a donation catalyst for the website.
4Chan pass only allows users to bypass captchas. It does not guarantee immunity from bans. If a person does not have a 4Chan they constantly have to verify the captcha whenever they plan to post something.
The website is currently one of the most popular social media and is currently ranked at 429th position. The website audience is generally crypto friendly, which could be a reason why they have shifted to cryptocurrency payments.
Cryptocurrency Payments on the Rise
Cryptocurrency payments are on the rise. More and more offline and online stores have started accepting cryptocurrencies. Speculations of a bull market and a general rise in trend regarding cryptocurrencies have played an integral part in pushing cryptocurrency adoption. Another part of this boom has been through innovative payment solutions such as BitPay which makes it easier for merchants to accept cryptocurrencies.
