Is Binance Hacked?
Rumours surface online, about a possibility of Binance, one of the world’s largest crypto exchange, being hacked. To clarify Binance has released an official statement they are not hacked, but rather trading bots messed up.
The statement
Regarding Unauthorized Market Sells
We are investigating reports of some users having issues with their funds. Our team is aware and investigating the issue as we speak.
As of this moment, the only confirmed victims have registered API keys (to use with trading bots or otherwise). There is no evidence of the Binance platform being compromised.
Please remain patient and we will provide an update as quickly as possible.
Withdrawl’s are temporarily closed. We will update you more on this development.
What is happening?
Almost all the cryptos started falling a while back bitcoin by $1000 and Eth by $100 which seemed like a dump.
Strangely Viacoin(VIA) shot up by almost 1000% and fell back, now it is still up by 50%.
We will keep updating in our website as we get the information.
P.S – Always use google authenticator in exchanges.
