Litecoin Founder claims Bitcoin with Lightning network fits closely to Satoshi’s Vision
There’s a civil war between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash teams, on which blockchain fits closely to Satoshi’s Vision of a decentralized peer-to-peer method of payment. Bitcoin’s dev team headed by Blockstream claim that Bitcoin with Lightning network is the future of Bitcoin, while Bitcoin Cash dev team claim that Bitcoin Cash with a larger block size resembles more closely to Satoshi’s vision.
Charlie Lee, the creator of Litecoin, supporting the original Bitcoin developers tweets that Bitcoin with Lightning network fits the original Satoshi’s Vision. In a series of recent tweets, Charlie Lee goes on to explain the difference between Peer – to – Peer (P2P) transactions on Bitcoin & Litecoin over On Chain transactions and Lightning Network.
He begins by saying that ‘on-chain’ payments are not P2P, as the miners facilitate this transaction. According to Charlie Lee, the broadcast that a transaction has occurred to the entire network is P2P.
2/ The broadcast network IS p2p, but strictly speaking payments are not p2p. The sender can ignore the p2p network and directly communicate the transaction to miners to send payments. The sender doesn't have to have any communication with the recipient in any p2p manner at all!

Whereas on the Lightning Network, according to Charlie Lee, payment through lightning network happens between the Sender and Receiver with no real ‘middlemen’ involved.
5/ Because LN payments are peer-to-peer, they can work if the peers involved are disconnected from the rest of the internet. The sender can even send payments directly to the recipient by just having a direct connection without relying on any other parties at all.

And finally, he adds,
6/6 Bitcoin with Lightning Network more closely fits the Bitcoin whitepaper's title: "A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System." This is Satoshi's Vision.
