VeChain has signed a MoU with the middle eastern Cloud Provider BIOS to implement a framework for Blockchain-as-a-service and Blockchain-enabled cloud services.
BIOS Middle East is one of the leading cloud service providers in the Middle East with clients across Energy, Finance, Retail, PetroChem and Healthcare sectors. The Dubai based company announced the partnership via a Press Release on December 16th.
VeChain will be providing its Blockchain services to BIOS which in turn will offer its existing clients with the Blockchain-as-a-service (BaaS) to solve various problems.
VeChains Blockchain solution is well suited especially for enterprises comprising the Internet of Things (IoT), BIOS Middle East will be integrating its existing Security as a service solution into the VeChain Blockchain. This will enable the data to be stored more securely as it is encrypted into the immutable Blockchain ledger. This not only allows enterprises to prevent bad actors from manipulating the logs but also helps them to upgrade their security and improve trust and reliability of data.
Sunny Lu, CEO of VeChain said:
“Leveraging on BIOS Middle East’s expertise in Cloud Services and System integration, I believe Dominic’s team will help accelerate adoption and transactions on VeChain’s platform. Starting from Dubai, one of the world’s blockchain-friendly states,”
Dominic Docherty, Managing Director, BIOS Middle East said:
“BIOS Middle East will work with VeChain to extend its proven solutions on the blockchain to be directly accessible to Middle East and African organizations through the CloudHPT platform, which will potentially bring thousands of transactions on a daily basis.”
The Middle East is going through a digital revolution, especially places like Dubai are working progressively to embrace Blockchain technology and make the middle east a Blockchain hub. Dubai is actively working on implementing Blockchain based solutions in governance, finance and also in their smart city initiative.
VeChain is taking a step in the right direction by entering the Middle Eastern markets through cloud providers like BIOS.
